Dr. Hamid Ghazali

Dr.
Ghazali served as is the superintendant for Iman Academy schools of
Houston. 9 Years - Principal of the Islamic School of Greater Kansas
City.
Chairman of MAS Council of Islamic Schools. He has vast experience in
organized Islamic work in the US. Depth of his involvement in Islamic
work ranges from student member of MSA to the Chairman of the board of
trustees of MAS. Width of his services extends from local level as the
Imam of the Islamic Society of Kansas City to national and international
level as the vice president of ISNA. He has a Ph.D. from the School of
Education, Kansas State University, Kansas. He has authored and
published several papers on education.
Br. Mahdi Bray

Imam Mahdi Bray is a long time civil and human
rights activist. He is currently the Executive Director of the Muslim American
Society (MAS) Freedom Foundation, and the President of the Coordinating Council
of Muslim Organizations (CCMO). He also serves on the Board of Directors of the
National Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice and the Interfaith Alliance,
and also on the Advisory Board of the American Muslim Council and Muslim Public
Affairs Council. He is a Washington, DC, Television and radio Talk-Show Host.
He
has served as a major consultant and a political advisor to Bonner &
Associates, Washington's largest grassroots lobbying firm, the National Center
for Housing Management, Alexandria City Redevelopment & Housing Authority,
Community Relations Department, The City of Norfolk, Virginia, Department of
Community Improvement, and the Independent Voter League.
He
has also served as a Political Advisor and Strategist, to several national,
state, and local political campaigns. He is also the author of, 'The Masjid
(Mosque) Voter's Guide' and 'The Political Guide for Masjid (Mosque) Activists.'

also served as a liaison between President's White House Faith-Based Initiative
Program and congressional affairs on behalf of the Muslim community
Mayor Mark Funkhouser

Mark
Funkhouser, 58, earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from
Thiel College, a Master's in Social Work from West Virginia University,
a Master's in Business Administration from Tennessee State University
and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in public administration and sociology
from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He began his career as a
social worker and then went on to become an auditor, first in Tennessee
State Government and then for the City of Kansas City, Mo., where he
served from 1988 until 2006.
Under
his leadership the City Auditor’s Office in Kansas City won the Knighton
Award for outstanding auditing four times: in 1997, 2000, 2003 and 2004.
He has been married to the same woman since 1979 and he has two
children.

Dr. Imad Bayoun
Council member
of the MAS-Inland Empire chapter
Dr.
Imad Bayoun is widely recognized for his commitment to religious
education, especially among the youth. As a lecturer for the Muslim
American Society (MAS – a religious, social, cultural and educational,
not-for-profit organization –,and as a council member of the MAS-Inland
Empire chapter, Bayoun spends most of his free time teaching others
about Islam. His unique way of speaking talking to the heart has
inspired many. Bayoun was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and came to the
United States in 1989. He currently resides in Riverside and works as an
entomologist, employed as the Insectary and Quarantine Officer at the
University of California at Riverside.

A father of 5, physical therapist
by profession. Currently doing my doctorate in physical therapy in stony
brook university, NY. Has been active in Islamic work since high
school. A MAS member since 1995. Held many leadership positions at local
and national levels. President of MAS Fort Lauderdale, FL 1997/1998 .
Vice president of MAS NY 1999-2003. Served as MAS Youth director
in NY from 2001-2003 and was one of the founders of the 1ST MAS youth
enter in the country.
Served as president of MAS-NY 2003-2008 . Has been a member of the
general assembly and MAS national board of trustees since 2006, and was
elected as Vice president of MAS national in Sept 2008. Also serves as
board member of the Islamic media foundation based on sterling,
Virginia.
